BIO

Born and raised in Auckland, Alex started playing guitar at 7 years old and since then has had a passion for music. After finishing high school he studied at Auckland University, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Music, majoring in Jazz Performance, from 2014-2019.

Alex was taught by some of the best musicians in the country; Dixon Naxy, Kevin Field, Roger Manins and many more. He then spent 2 years post-study in Whistler, Canada, while working as a Ski Instructor and playing in a few local bands.

He is now based in Queenstown and is building a reputation as a professional guitarist playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar and electric bass. He is proficient in almost every tempo, style and setting.
